I grew up in Austin as a proud fourth-generation Austinite, with my family having deep roots in the community. It brings me so much joy to serve this city and its people in a way that truly impacts families and individuals as they make one of the largest investments of their lifetime.

My journey to where I am today wasn’t always straightforward. Like many people, I faced challenges, setbacks, and moments of uncertainty that shaped me into the person I am now. Through the most difficult times of my life, I pushed through and worked hard to overcome those obstacles. Even though I still face some of those challenges today, I am proud of how far I have come and all that I have achieved.
After high school, I didn’t have a clear direction and had a challenging time finding my path. School caused such anxiety that I chose not to attend college. I remember trying to avoid my grandfather at family events because he’d encourage me to go to college, but I didn’t want to tell him that I was too overwhelmed to go.
A lot of my stress is a result of my rare health condition, hyperhidrosis. It causes excessive sweating that affects my entire body. To most, it might not seem like a big deal, but it was truly embarrassing and mentally debilitating. As I progressed into high school, I became increasingly insecure as I tried to hide my condition. I hid it so well that most people didn’t know I had it. Sometimes I would take notes in class and run my hand over the paper, smearing all my writing from the sweat. It was an insecurity that only my closest friends knew about.

At 21, I had my beautiful daughter and focused on caring for her. Soon after, I met my partner and moved to Beaumont to live with him and his two kids, who were around the same age as my daughter. There, I started to golf again, a lifelong passion of mine. One day on the course, the captain of Lamar University’s golf team recruited me and offered me a full scholarship to play.
At the time of this amazing news, my grandfather was in the hospital battling pneumonia. I couldn’t wait to share the scholarship offer with him! Hearing the news brought him so much joy—he couldn’t have been happier! Sadly, this ended up being the last time I saw him because he unexpectedly passed shortly after. Of course, this was devastating, but his pride in me became my motivation to achieve what I once thought was impossible.

At the age of 26, with three little ones, there was trepidation about returning to school and being an NCAA D1 athlete. But being a good role model for my kids and fulfilling my grandfather’s wishes pushed me through! After my first semester, I received a letter from the school that I made it onto the Dean’s List. Initially, I thought it was a letter from the Dean that I wasn’t meeting expectations. To my surprise, I was being recognized for my hard work!
I graduated summa cum laude from Lamar University with a bachelor’s in entrepreneurship. Once I graduated, we decided to move back to Austin. The kids and my hometown had grown so much in the short time we were away. With the kids being more independent and all the new opportunities happening around the city, I jumped into real estate in 2013, thinking it would be a fun way to meet new people and help them. Through hard work and putting my clients first, my brokerage recognized me with their top award, Icon Status, which is designated for the top 2% of their 70,000+ agents worldwide.

Every day I am reminded of just how far I have come and how much I can achieve. Today, I am still trying to overcome my challenges, but the success I have found as a REALTOR® has helped me grow my confidence. I have exceeded my expectations by creating a broad network of clients who trust me and my professional opinion. Even though it was challenging going out of my comfort zone, I am so happy I did because it pushed me to work hard and ultimately led to my success.
When I started as a new REALTOR®, I didn’t have all the answers. What I did have was the willingness to get answers and solve problems by seeking them out. Over the years, I developed the skills, knowledge, and experience to guide my clients through even the most complex real estate decisions. That’s when I realized my approach was much like that of a golf caddie—someone who helps strategize, navigate obstacles, and provide the right advice to ensure a successful outcome.
Golf has been a part of my life since I was a little junior player, and it’s something I’ve carried with me through every chapter. The patience, precision, and strategy that golf demands have shaped the way I approach life and business. Now that we’re empty nesters, I’ve been able to reconnect with the game I love, and it has inspired me to bring the same principles to my real estate career.
As The Real Estate Caddie, I bring that mindset to every real estate transaction. Just like a caddie helps their player strategize, navigate obstacles, and choose the right club, I’m here to guide you through your real estate journey with confidence and care. Whether you’re buying your first home, upgrading to your dream house, or selling to start your next chapter, I’ll provide the advice, insight, and tools you need to succeed.
At the end of the day, I’ve built a lifestyle where I’m living my dream—blending my passion for golf with my love for helping others. Let’s team up and take your next real estate swing together.
Sincerely,

Adri Overton
